Adria is an intuitive, practical and heart centered coach with over 20 years of experience coaching senior level leaders and leadership teams across multiple industries. Her coaching approach is insightful and straightforward. She combines coaching with mentoring and where necessary, teaching as well. One of the pioneers of coaching in Canada and past president of the GTA chapter of the International Coach Federation, Adria has played an integral role in the Canadian coaching community.
With over 5,000 coaching hours under her belt, Adria is a Master Certified Coach who has helped transform the burgeoning practice of leadership coaching into an internationally-recognized bona fide profession. Her post-graduate education includes a Masters in Psychology, PhD (ABD) in Psychology. Her extensive background in organizational and clinical psychology allows her to bring a highly-educated, systemic and in-depth perspective to her coaching practice. This insight into human behavior is very useful when it comes to addressing leadership, performance, organizational development and change issues.
Adria’s coaching practice is diverse, ranging from individuals in transition or wanting to lead change, to senior executives committed to further developing their leadership capacity, to C Suite leaders attempting to bring about climate and cultural change. She also sustains a diverse coach mentoring practice and has experience coaching and teaching in Asian, African, Russian and European cultures.
Adria led the Adler International Learning, Professional Coaching Certificate program as Dean for eight years. She stepped down in May 2015 and was granted the highly respected distinction of Dean Emeritus in perpetuity, which recognizes exceptional meritorious service. The Adler Professional Coaching program was the first in Canada (2002) to be designated as an accredited coach training program by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Adria is a four-time winner of the Toronto Chapter, International Coach Federations (ICF) highly coveted Prism Award. This international award honors individuals and organizations with outstanding coaching initiatives. Recipients must meet rigorous professional standards, address key strategic goals, shape organizational culture and yield discernible and measurable positive impacts. Adria was also the recipient of the Canadian Coach of the Year award, in 2008 to recognize her commitment to helping individuals and teams achieve their best.
Adria believes that no two clients are alike, so she designs customized training programs to meet each client’s specific needs. She is the founder and creator of the Living Systems Approach (LSA) for team transformation and is also a certified Tilt 365 Certified Practitioner.
